Frequently Asked Questions

How fast can the bikes go, and can I change the maximum speed?

Our e-bikes are designed to reach speeds of 25-28 mph (32-45 km\h) depending on the model and local regulations. The motor will assist up to this speed, after which you’ll need to rely on pedaling alone. You cannot change the speed of our e-bikes.

What is the difference between a torque sensor and a cadence sensor?

A torque sensor measures the force you apply to the pedals and adjusts motor assistance based on effort, offering a more natural and responsive ride. A cadence sensor measures pedaling speed and adjusts motor assistance based on how fast you pedal, providing a simpler, less responsive experience.

What is the actual range of the e-bike?

An e-bike’s range will depend on many factors such as tire pressure, weather, terrain, how much throttle is used, and what pedal assist levels are used. Proper use of the bicycle’s gears, limited use of throttle, and using the lower assist levels will greatly increase the range of your e-bike.

How long does it take to charge the battery?

Charging times vary by model, but generally, our e-bike batteries take about 4-6 hours to fully charge from 0% to 100%. We recommend charging the battery after each ride to maintain optimal performance.

What is the lifespan of the battery?

The lifespan of the battery can vary depending on usage. Generally, avoiding excessive heat is the best way to preserve the battery so it can last for years. The best way to avoid excessive heat is to avoid deeply discharging the battery below 15%, avoid sustained use of the throttle, unplug the battery shortly after it’s finished charging, and only recharge the battery once it’s below 50% when possible.

Can I get a spare battery key?

Many of our models use keys that can be reproduced. Search our website for replacement keys, and make sure to include the key number in the notes section at checkout. The key number is not only printed on the key, but on the lock as well.

Can I ride an e-bike in the rain?

Yes, our e-bikes are designed to be weather-resistant and can handle rain. However, like any bicycle, it’s important to take extra care in wet conditions. Always ensure your battery is properly sealed and avoid submerging the bike in water. Likewise, avoid riding in heavy rainfall, and always dry and clean the bike after riding, especially in the winter when salty water can infiltrate the electronics.

Can I customize my e-bike?

Yes! Along with the accessories available on our website, you can visit your local bicycle shop to find parts and accessories to customize the cosmetics and fit of your bike.

How do I maintain my e-bike?

Regular maintenance is key to ensuring your e-bike lasts for years. We recommend checking tire pressure, cleaning and lubricating the chain, and ensuring that the brakes are functioning properly. Some preventative maintenance, such as strapping the battery down to keep it stable while riding, can help reduce future issues. For more detailed maintenance tips, refer to your model’s user manual or visit your local dealer.
